Vanilla Bean-pult is the third plant obtained in Fearsome Factory in Plants vs. Zombies: The Wacky House. Vanilla Bean-pult lobs vanilla ice cream at zombies, dealing 20 damage per shot. She fires at the same rate as most lobbed shots, such as Cabbage-pult. Vanilla Bean-pult's ice cream can damage a 1x1.2 area of zombies, a little more than a full tile. The ice cream can also additionally scare away Zombie Rats.

Origins[]

Real Life Vanilla

Vanilla Bean-pult is based off of vanilla, a spice derived from orchids. Her projectile is a reference to the popular flavor of ice cream, vanilla.

Rare counterpart[]

Rare Vanilla Bean-pult2

Rare Vanilla Bean-pult functions exactly the same as its common counterpart, however it now deals 50 damage per shot instead of 20. Its sun cost is elevated to 225 to compensate.

It no longer resembles vanilla, instead turning into a brown bean with stray leaves and a flower pot as a basket. It lobs beans instead of ice cream, although they are functionally the same aside from damage differences.

Strategies  Free-Edit Section[]

Vanilla Bean-pult is well suited for building an early defense, given its fast recharge and low sun cost. It can be considered somewhat of an alternative to Kernel-pult, however the differences are still there. Vanilla Bean-pult performs its best in dense groups of weak zombies.

Against Cheese Rolling Zombies, Vanilla Bean-pult is a must-have to prevent annoying Zombie Rats from stealing your plants. Having one in each row would be a simple solution to this nuisance of a zombie.

If you are looking to pack a punch to groups of zombies, you are better suited with plants like Melon-pult.
