Tracy is a Plant Hero idea for Plants vs. Zombies Heroes and the leader of the Mega-Grow, Guardian, and Solar classes. His signature superpower is Acorn Squash, which destroys a Zombie with 3 or less and makes an Acorn there.

He is the Hero version of the Squash.

Like all 3 class heroes, he can only have 3 copies of each card in his deck, instead of the usual 4.

Origins[]

He is based off Squash, a Plant Trick in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes. His name comes from the description of the Plants vs. Zombies 2 Squash, which says that his name is Tracy.

Tracy can be thought of as Wall-Knight, Chompzilla, and Grass Knuckles all rolled into one. There are many different ways that you can play as him, as he takes strategies from all three. However, because Tracy still has a 40-card deck, just like any other Hero, you can play with only one strategy at a time, so choose wisely.

Tracy has many removal cards, so a removal deck could work. However, be warned that removal cards are expensive, so, unlike Solar Flare, you will struggle with taking out zombies early-game. However, late-game, once you have several big, beefy plants, removal is key, as it allows said plants to hit the enemy with their large attacks, dishing out huge damage.

An alternative is, similar to Grass Knuckles, to create a Bullseye deck. Not only can Tracy buff Bullseye plants, he can use Sun Strike to give them all Strikethrough, making them downright deadly. Tracy can also run a good Strikethrough deck like Chompzilla. Buffing Strikethrough plants means unblockable damage, unless the opponent's Super-Block Meter is full.

Against[]

Tracy has lots of variety. Fortunately, he can only pick one type of deck to run, as integrating two will lead to his defeat. Around turn 3 you should know what type of deck he's running, and use that to your advantage. Try not to fight fire with fire against him, especially against his tougher units, as he can easily destroy them and make his plants hit your Hero. Additionally, try not to have too many beefy zombies on the field at once, lest they all get destroyed by a Doom-shroom or a Tactical Cuke.
