Latest News[]

With all the new content that we have brought for the past 6 months, it is time for the game to bloom into its final stage, we are honored to announce that the game's support has been ended and that it is a finished project. We plan on adding limited time content until December, but after that, everything will be done.

But as bad as this may sound, the team is already working on Plants vs. Zombies: Build Your Lawn! 2, which is a bigger project with many new surprises! We hope you have enjoyed this project as much as the team enjoyed making it, thanks to all for the support and feedback.

Gameplay[]

Plants vs. Zombies Build Your Lawn is a party game that has 20 turns or more, each player has its own lawn and they start from that point, each lawn is at each corner of the board. There are multiple boards to pick from and each of them has a different layout.

You will roll a dice block that has 1-6 faces and you will advance the shown spaces. You want to reach the Crazy Dave's Plant Stores that are in certain spots to buy him plants or environments with Sun, you can get Sun by playing minigames at the end of each turn or by landing on the Sun space, or you can get them by planting Sunflowers in your lawn.

The objective of the game is to defend your lawn from the zombies, you accomplish this by planting defending or attacking plants to prevent the zombies from reaching your house. The layout of your lawn is this one:

  • 5 Rows
  • 7 Columns

Zombies move different spaces forward at the start of each turn depending on the type of zombie. Your attacking plants attack them at the start of each turn as well, each game starts off with 1 Sunflower in each row to the left and 1 approaching zombie in each row to the right. Zombies will appear every turn (One per lane), there are multiple zombies with different strengths and abilities, there are also spaces on the board that can affect the movement of the zombies.

Here are the special missions for each board:

  • Time Machine: (To unlock Captain Combustible) Win the match without using plants with 0 Damage besides Sunflowers.

Zen Glory[]

In this mode, each player has 4 plants in a Zen Garden, the plants are all small at first, the players play minigames and the ones in the top 2 places get to water 2 plants, when you water a small plant, it grows to the middle stage, and if you water it again, it grows completely and you don’t have to water it again. If you make all your plants grow to the big stage, you win. The twist is, once you water a plant, if after two minigames you haven’t watered it again, it will shrink to the small stage, and if you don’t water it for other two minigames, you lose the plant. If you lose a plant, when you win a minigame instead of watering one of your allies, you have to plant one. If you lose 2 plants, you lose the game.

Endless Game[]

In this game mode, you will have a regular game (with CPUs only) but it won't end until all players lose except you, or if you lose. This mode will have endless zombie waves (Will get bigger the more turns there are) and you will play minigames as normal, except that just like in Plants vs. Zombies 1, you will have unlimited access to the Shovel and Evolution plants will have an increased cost the more you play them. After turn 20, unlike in the regular game mode, zombies will summon in each lane after each turn no matter what instead of after two turns.

I, Zombie[]

In this game mode, you take control of the zombie side and your mission is to eat the brains at the end of the lawn. But there are plants there, so be careful and plan things correctly, because you have limited Sun.

There are four levels:

  • Easy (5 waves against only the first 7 Plants)
  • Medium (10 waves against the first 15 plants)
  • Hard (20 waves against all plants)
  • Endless (Against all plants)

Just like in Plants vs. Zombies, you get Sun when your zombies eat Sunflowers. Your Sun resets after every wave to 300. Instead of being turn-based like the main game mode, in this mode it is like in the original game where zombies move based on their speed and attack plants.

Zombies that you can use in this mode:

  • Zombie
  • Conehead
  • Buckethead
  • Football Zombie
  • Jack-in-the-box Zombie
  • Gargantuar
  • Disco Zombie
  • Traffic Light Zombie

Botany Casino[]

Players will go through a set of 10 minigames, gaining Sun based on their placement. Before playing each minigame, players will bet a certain amount of their Sun quantity based on what placement they think they will get in the next minigame, players that get their bet right will get the Sun that was betted (e.g. if two players get their bet right, the Sun betted will be split into two and both players get one half). After the ten minigames, the player with the most Sun wins.

Sun quantities you can bet:

  • 25 Sun
  • 50 Sun
  • 100 Sun
  • Half your Sun
  • All your Sun

Dice Creator[]

Along with the new dice blocks the player can pick before playing a match, it can also pick one made by itself in the Dice Creator mode. The player can pick colors, numbers, name and a small description to give to his dice block. When finished, the dice can be saved and used in the "Quick Game" mode. A total of 10 dice blocks can be saved.

The dice blocks can have any number from 1 to 10, but it must have a total of 24 numbers or less (e.g. a typical dice block has 1,2,3,4,5,6, which gives for a total of 21, your own dice blocks must have a total of 24 or less).
