Coinsettia is an event plant fighter in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes. She is a participant in the New Year Contest!

Overview[]

Coinsettia is a member of the PvZH Solar IconSolar class. She costs 4SunPvZH to play and has 1StrengthPvZH/5HeartPvZH. She has Sun Production 1 (Start of turn: You get +1SunPvZH this turn) and when she is played, she adds three Lucky Coins (1SunPvZH, Shuffle a Superpower into your deck. If you made at least 6SunPvZH this turn, shuffle a Legendary card instead) to the Plant player's hand.

Strategy[]

With[]

Coinsettia is a generally strong play to make regardless of the situation because the centrepiece of her sun cost is her ability. The cards shuffled by Lucky Coins could set up potentially deadly plays but may take a while arrive. Note that her ability triggers Dino-Roar three times and so will be incredibly useful for dinosaur cards. Besides her ability, she cannot impact the battlefield very significantly but she can produce sun, in a manner similar to Metal Petal Sunflower.

Chompzilla generally benefits from a tanky sun producer because it contributes to Mega-Grow/Solar synergy well. Note that the shuffled cards do not count as being conjured and will not synergise with any Conjure-themed cards.

Solar Flare can use this more aggresively due to her strength-boosting tricks, which synergise well with a tanky fighter. However, since shuffling cards into your deck is a long-term strategy, this is probably better used in a late-game deck, especially since Lucky Coin is empowered with more sun. This card also generates sun, another reason to add it to a lategame deck.

Wall-Knight is good at holing up and stalling the game, or preparing for lategame assaults. This card plays along those lines pretty well, but be creative with its use: agressively combo it with Tricarrotops, use its health offensively with Pecanolith, or use it simply as a tank to force your opponent to spend extra cards or Brains to trade with it.

Rose has no particularly strong uses for this but works well with it nonetheless since she can pacify zombie fighters very well. Her two classes generally fare well in late game and have access to card draw as well.
