Solar Eclipse was the fifth obtainable plant in Plants vs. Zombies 2. He can be obtained by completing Rewind City- Day 21.
Solar Eggclipse is an environment modifier and he was exclusively used in Rewind City. Solar Eggclipse is able to light the lawn in 3x5 area. The lightened lawn will move after 6-9 seconds and it can boost sun-producing plants by increasing their producing speed. When the light moves, they're obtain the same producing speed. The light also made Sun-shrooms skipped to their third stage instantly.
The light will move from left-middle-right. It starts of from the left side of the lawn until it moves to the middle, and then to the right until it disappears from view, along with Solar Eggclipse, which leads him as an instant-use plant.
Origins[]
Solar Eggclipse was based off a common eggplant (scientific name: Solanum melongena). His ability meanwhile was based off solar eclipse, a natural phenomenon that occurs when the moon blocks off the sun's light and prevents it from reaching the Earth, also cluing the punned name otherwise.

Once being affected by Enlighten-mint, Solar Eggclipse start increasing the sun-producing plants' sun costs by adding 25 more suns.

- Solar Eggclipse is the only Rewind City plant that does not have any costumes.
- His almanac entry mentions how he's only got a bad luck once when he wants to see fireworks during the night. This may be a reference to how many peoples in real-life doesn't launch fireworks during the day more often.
