Renaissance Era is the [?] world of Timeless, released first during the [?] update, as a post-Modern Day world

This world is taking place during the 1550's, in an era known as the Italian Renaissance where arts and technology met a sudden developpement, leading to many innovations being made at this time

The location is undisclosed, but it is quite obvious that it is based on the italian city of Venice, known for its very peculiar urban style that is entirely unique and has water canals instead of roads.

Levels are taking place during what seem to be a sunny day, with a cloudless sky, in an extensive city reminescent of Venice. The said city contains extensive streets, buildings, and has quite a lot of indoors parts, as well as palaces, houses, shops, etc ... that are entirely open and accessible. There is also many places of interest, as for example an extensive harbor system as well as canals where players can swim, but also indoors gardens, climbable rooftops, etc.... as such, mobility is a key concept to explore all the parts of this extensive map

This world has multiple unique gimmicks :

  • First, the water, which is a very secondary gimmick of this world which will only affect people once they start getting into canals. Players inside will first get slowed down by 15%, and will start swimming when the water reaches their chest, with 20% less speed and a blocking of their stamina regeneration. Players can also dive, and will have an Oxygen meter, which allows them to last 25 seconds underwater, heavily damaging them after with 70 damage per second and which refills by 15% per second when you aren't underwater. Running out of stamina will cause you to sink and move slower with only 65% of you regular speed. Zombies will move 20% slower underwater and simply sink like stones, with some of them even adopting a quadrupedal gait to travel faster along the floor. Only specific enemies will swim
  • Then comes the statues, which are scattered around the map and represent various enemies that can be encountered in this world. They have 4 times the HP of the zombie that they represents, meaning that they can be destroyed, and will take 7 times more damage by explosives. During certain moments, zombies inside statues will start moving, and after a bit of time, will break out of their stone restraints to attack players. If they were damaged, their HP will be equal to the percentage of HP their statue had ; thus, a statue with 80% of its HP will give out an enemy that only has 80% of his total HP

Renaissance Era is packed with a few unique ambushes, that can only be encountered here. The first one is called Unexpected Inquisition, and will make 10-15 Inquisition Zombies spawn near players in certain locations ; this event can happen at almost any moment, making it impossible to predict and very chaotic. The second ambush, Watery Disturbance, will cause Gondolier Zombies and Gondola Carriers to spawn from nearby canals, and then proceed normally to attack players. The third and final ambush is Statue Breakout ; it will make every statue start slowly shaking and breaking, until they are reduced to small shards and dust, leaving what was inside free to move.

Audio[]

The world uses mainly unused music fro the the chinese version of Plants vs Zombies 2, but is set to have exclusive themes and extended version of the classic musics in the future

File:【Demonstration Mini Game】PVZ2 Fan-made Soundtrack:Renaissance Age-1

Game Description[]

Under the hot sun of Italy, come and met the inhabitants of this period and its renewal of arts and science
But these shambling cadavers are no friends, and won't miss an occasion to use their all-new inventions to put you down

Order of Events[]

Big Wave Beach require first that you finish the Present, and that you use a Continuum Breacher, but also needs you to finish Modern Day first. It can be however be played without using the latter if you are with someone that already unlocked it and decides to play it

After finishing the Day [?], players will found a weathered letter, with writings crudely made using what appears to be body fluids of various origins. The text describes what appears to be a warning, including attempts to add poetic elements.

As of January 2020, no bosses were planned, although multiple ideas related to machines and the famous book Gargantua were emitted.

Levels[]

As a post-Modern Day world, the difficulty here is quite high, with zombies spawning in advantageous areas and in large numbers. Players with a low mobility can have a hard time in certain locations of the map, while certain zombies are expert in terms of movements restrictions. Ambushes, of course, makes surviving even harder, with for Inquisition Zombies swarming the terrain and being unexpectable, while statues are often placed in areas where they can attack from anywhere and gondola-related zombies will add a supplementary charge to support

The levels aren't decided yet

Brain Busters[]

Locked and loaded[]

During these levels, players will have to use survive using only certain items, depending on which character they choosed

Special Delivery[]

In Special Delivery, everyone will have their weapons delivered via some kind of conveyor belt. Players will only have 6 slots avalaible, and can throw weapons they don't need. Certain items can be stacked up

Shambling statues[]

In this level, all enemies are statues, that will move only when they aren't watched, but will deal a huge amount of damage. Unlike regular levels, the map is also tweaked slightly so that players cannot block zombies and make them unable to attack, forcing people to move constantly in order to avoid being killed. Not only this, these levels takes place at night, and have a completely different objective ; instead of having to kill every zombies, the team has to found an exit, while having only torches to help them found their way. It introduces also a unique mechanic ; every 5-7 seconds, players will blink, allowing statues to move closer and attack. The level ends once all players found the exit or die

Death Carnival[]

Played like a Locked and Loaded level, this minigame is played in a customized version of the regular map, supporting many decorations and masks scattered everywhere. All enemies, with almost no exception, are else Carnevale Zombies or else mask-carrying and fancier version of regular zombkes, while players have a slight modification ; each of them have to select a certain kit, with weapons and items, corresponding to a certain role in the classic Italian theater style of the Comedia del Arte. Apart from this, there isn't much differences apart from unique enemies
