The fourth world in Plants vs. Zombies: The Thousand Pages
20 levels ⋅ First released on August 19, 2023
Rainy Rainforest is the fourth world in Plants vs. Zombies: The Thousand Pages. It takes place in the middle of a rainforest surrounded by trees and plants of all kinds. Here, there are six new plants and a total of 16 new zombies to encounter.
After escaping the restaurant (without leaving a tip), the player and the gang get caught off guard by the rain, which leads them to hide inside the depths of a nearby rainforest. They quickly set up camp after realizing the zombies have already found them.
Gimmicks[]
Water/Bridges[]
Around half of the levels in Rainy Rainforest have small bridges to cross the water that floods from the nearby lake, covering the last four columns to the right. The bridges can be planted on and let's the zombies cross the water. Some plants and zombies can float in said water. Big zombies like Gargantuars can cross the water, but will lose around 50% of their speed while doing so. This gimmick is very similar to Pirate Seas' water and planks.
Bushes[]
Some levels will have bushes covering some tiles of the lawn. These will either:
Have nothing in them.
Drop a random Rainy Rainforest seed packet when destroyed.
Spawn a random Rainy Rainforest zombie when destroyed.
Dark Stormy Night[]
These are levels that take place during night time, which means no sun falls from the sky. Like Level 4-10 from the original Plants vs. Zombies, lightning will occasionally flash the screen to reveal the lawn for a few seconds. It can also zap a random tile, which will burn any plant or zombie on it.
Plants[]
Snow Pea: Fires frozen peas making it hard for zombies to advance.
Spikeweed: Destroys one rolling zombie and hurts any zombies that steps on him.
Coconut Cannon: Fires down a single lane, causing a medium explosion on impact.
Claw Gloriosa: Grabs the first zombie it encounters to use as a shield.
Chomper: Can devour a zombie whole, but is vulnerable while chewing.
Homing Thistle: Fires seeking shots at targets that are closest to home.
Zombies[]
Machete Zombie: Can cut bushes and greatly damage leafy plants.
Parasol Zombie: Blocks projectiles from above using her parasol.
Jungle Bully: Lands four tiles into the player's lawn. Can carry a Rainy Rainforest zombie (most zombies included) on his back, dropping him upon landing.
Coconut Enthusiast Zombie: Uses his coconut to bash plants, including ground plants. After 3 attacks, his coconut will break, which he will then drink to get 250 health back.
Toucan Lover Zombie: Once defeated, releases his toucan that will attack the plant closest to your house once.
Snake Coil Zombie: Once defeated, releases his snake, which bites plants, inflicting them with poison. Poison makes plantes take damage every second for 7 seconds after the bite.
Tree Spirit Gargantuar: Crushes plants. Throws a Tiger Imp when he reaches half health. Weak to fire plants. Heals himself for 30 health every 15 seconds.
General Hopper (RR): Shoots steam clouds to damage plants. Hides zombies in smoke clouds or if thrown at plants, will damage them. Launches ZPGs. Uses Rocket Jumps to switch lanes. Summons other zombies.
Zombot Fly Fryer: Summons zombies. Shoots goop to stun plants in a 3x3 area. Slams plants with mechanical roots.
