There is a total of 35 Plants, with 26 (for now) at the Story Mode, and 9 (for now) at the shop.

Tutorial 4: Block and Hard	Having retired from his days as a champion bowler in the Pro Leagues, Wall-nut is looking forward to a real challenge on the front lines of home defense. DEFENSE! DEFENSE!
Potato Mine	Blows up on a tile on by touch, but needs time to arm itself.	1800	Sun cost: 25 Recharge: 15 seconds Toughness: 300 Arming time: 15 seconds	Launch two armed Potato Mine clones of itself.	Tutorial 5: Spudow from Over	Believe it or not, SPUDOW! did not happen overnight. Having been forced to try out new catchphrases and focus testing as many variations as possible (Tubular? Really?), Potato Mine weeded out the competition to stick with what he knows best.

The luckiest stunt clover around, Blover is the recipient of the Stunty Award. You can see his work in "Bulb Fiction," "Rooty," and "Finding Flower." He also teaches a stunt class on Tuesdays at the community center.
Pistachio	Shoots seeds at zombies and blocks zombies and protect the plants behind.	20 (per seed)	Sun cost: 125 Recharge: 15 seconds Toughness: 1800	Shoots 5 seeds while gaining an armor, which has the same health as himself.	Central Park- Day 6: Hotdog Time!	Pistachio has two things in common with the Pea-nut. They both shoot projectiles and protect plants. That's why people call them partners.

Central Park- Day 11: Locked and Loaded	Tall-nut is opening a chain of stores for Tall and Taller gentlemen. "I'll shell out the savings to you!"

Twin Sunflower	Produces two suns to double up the sun addition. Twin Sunflower's super-chic line of ultra-expensive sunglasses has been a huge hit wherever she goes. Due to this she has been unable to travel without being swarmed by the Poppyrazzi.

Autumn Mountains- Day 3: Rakes n' Pitchforks	While working as an usher at the local movieplex, he saw "Fried Green Tomatoes" and found his higher calling. He packed up his husks, his kernels, his butter, and enlisted.

Autumn Mountains- Evening 6: Where the Wheelbarrow Rolls	"When other plants talk about me, they say I'm too gruff. They say I'm difficult to approach, that I'm afraid to let others get too close to me. Also, I smell terrible," said Endurian. But deep down inside, he knows that he's so much more than that. He's also short-tempered.

Autumn Mountains- Evening 12: Ninja Imp Hide-n-Seek	A freelance dentist on the side, he's offering a special this month - he'll knock two of your teeth out for the price of one!
Bud-minton	Lobs shuttlecocks from far away, and will deal lower health when it's close range	60/50/40/30 (per shuttle cock and gets closer to the fourth zombie)	Sun cost: 200 Recharge: 10 seconds Toughness: 300	Launches big shuttle cocks at 3 all five lanes.	Autumn Mountains- Evening 18: On the Chopping Block	Bud-minton is a national first-class athlete, and in every encounter with a new plant will ask, "Exercise is good for your health, would you like to play me in a game of badminton?"
Fire Gourd	When tapped on, he breathes fire at a short-range that deals moderate damage to zombies, but needs time to recharge to breathe fire again	900 (on fire breath)	Sun cost: 200 Recharge: 12 seconds Toughness: 300 Reload Time (for fire breath): 12 seconds	breathe fire in front of it that deals 1800 damage from all the zombies in range. It ain't easy keeping things light when you live in the shadows.
Puff-shroom	Shoots spores out of it, then disappears after a while.	10 (per spore)	Sun cost: 0 Recharge: 10 seconds Toughness: 300	Every Puff-shroom shoots out spores and resets their lifetime.	Nighttime Necropolis- Night 2: Skele-torque	Puff-shroom is hip to all the latest social networks. He loves to surf Sporebook, FungusedIn and ShroomstaGram. But he sometimes misses the simple camaraderie of a good ol' fashioned Lawn Area Network party.
Fume-shroom	Shoots out fumes that goes through anything.	20 (per fume)	Sun cost: 125 Recharge: 10 seconds Toughness: 300	Blasts out a big fume that blows zombies back.	Nighttime Necropolis- Night 4: Special Delivery!	"I think of myself as a pretty confident shroom and an all-around fungi," says Fume-shroom. "But sometimes, when I'm eating Plant Food, I hear them chuckling. I hear them calling me 'Balloon-shroom'. I don't think they know how much that hurts."
Grave Buster	Destroys gravestones when planted on a gravestone. Unless you're a puppy. He's terrified of those.
Garlic	When bitten, shifts the zombie's lane, also automatically kills Vampire Zombie. Nighttime Necropolis- Night 15: Puff Luck	Hypno-shroom has no trouble persuading zombies to fight on behalf of the plants. But he has yet to convince one to cluck like a chicken. "One day," he says. "One day."

Nighttime Necropolis- Night 21: Last Stand	Despite his unusual appearance, Magnet-shroom doesn't have a problem attracting girlfriends. But he does have a problem keeping them. It's the same thing every time. In the end, they always find him too clingy.

He looks ill, but he is, in fact, a loving old man who likes children. He will bring firecrackers to the children in town on Spring Festival, expecting them to spend a happy new year. And what he wishes mostly is, his grandson, Bamboo Shoot, who went for learning skills faraway, could knock the doorstepping the scraps of firecrackers...
