Spudow is a playable Plant Hero in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes: Arena under the Defensive and Support archetypes.
Introduction[]
It started wackily enough. Nobody knows how Potato Mines came to be, but sure enough they came to be and they lived rather explosive lives. When their numbers were running low following a bit of a mishap with a coal mine, Crazy Dave helped to conserve their numbers and also encourage more simplistic, less volatile states of existences. With some time, the Potato Mines under his care became placid, easygoing roots, but when the Zombie attacks begun the Mines once again found themselves helping against the horde with their old ways, self-destructing and taking out the attackers when they drew near. One gentle soul happened to just be deployed onto Dave's lawn when the Hero-Tron detonated and gave him not only a body, but also the ability to detach parts of himself and explode them at will, regenerating them afterwards. Now, he puts the "ow" in Spudow!

| Root Canal | Digging underground, Spudow burrows for a maximum of 8 seconds before emerging, though he can emerge earlier. He leaves behind a large tunnel as he digs, which friends can use. Foes, however, will merely fall into the tunnel and take 35 damage before jumping back out. |
| Skyward Burst | Spudow quite literally explodes upwards, blowing off his legs in the process. Don't worry, he grows them back immediately. He can be controlled as he descends, with the Potato Mine creating a massive quake when he lands. Such a quake does 80 damage in addition to Burying every opponent in the radius for 3 seconds. |
| Nugget Ambush | Spudow buries himself in the ground save for his head, taking on an appearance not unlike a normal Potato Mine. He can come back out at any time, but if an enemy draws near he will automatically emerge and throw a massive uppercut, dealing 80 damage and launching the foe into the air. |
