Article management templates have an {{{attribution}}} tag which allows users to take responsibility for adding them to a page. This means that the user on the receiving end knows which user to contact if they are less experienced and would otherwise have a harder time finding them through page history or recent changes. This defaults to "an anonymous user" which is what you'll see on this page as none of the article management templates here have been attributed. Personal use templates default to "the page creator" instead of "an anonymous user" due to how they're used.

[[Template:AprilFoolsArticle]] is a template with no input slots. You simply can stick it at the top of the page you are indicating as an April Fools joke. On April Fools Day each year, joke pages are allowed to be created - things can get a little wild. Part of the agreement is that those jokes pages are deleted the day after on April 2nd. If you use Template:AprilFoolsArticle on a page you do not own or have permission to edit, the template will be removed.

Intro to Article Management is a comprehensive list of all the article management templates on the wiki. Here you will see the template's full name, how it works, when to use it, and what the template actually looks like. As more article management templates are made over time, they will also have their own summaries added to this page.

For personal use

These article management templates can only be used on your pages. Using them on pages that are not yours is not okay.

Template:Adopt

Template:Adopt is a template with no input slots. You simply can stick it at the top of the page you would like for other users to adopt as their own. Please note that Template:Adopt will not spare your page from deletion, and you have to have put in some effort to make the page presentable and sufficient enough to not be deleted. If you use Template:Adopt on a page you do not own or have permission to edit, the template will be removed.

This is what the template looks like:

Adopt
This page is up for adoption. Please comment if you want to adopt it.
Template added by the page creator.

Template:AprilFoolsArticle

Template:AprilFoolsArticle is a template with no input slots.

This is what the template looks like:

CourtFool
The joke's on you! This PvZCC article was made as an April Fools joke. It will be deleted on April 2nd. Tomfoolery!
Template added by the page creator.

Template:Construction

Template:Construction is a template with no input slots. You simply can stick it at the top of the page you are working on. Template:Construction is used for pages that you have not entirely completed yet, but will complete later. Template:Construction will prevent your page from being marked as a stub, but you need to remember to actually go back and finish the page. If you use Template:Construction on a page you do not own or have permission to edit, the template will be removed.

This is what the template looks like:

Construction
This creation is currently still under construction and as such has not yet been finalized!
Template added by the page creator.

Template:Free-use

Template:Free-use is a template with no input slots. You simply can stick it at the top of the page you are allowing for people to use. Template:Free-use is used for pages that you are okay with people using without asking permission. If you use Template:Free-use on a page you do not own or have permission to edit, the template will be removed.

This is what the template looks like:

Free-use Plant
You can use this in your creations without the creator's permission!
Template added by the page creator.

Template:Free-use-restrict

Template:Free-use-restrict is a template with one input slot. When adding it to a page, you must include a {{{restrict}}} Template:Free-use-restrict is used for pages that you are okay with people using, but have a condition. If you use Template:Free-use-restrict on a page you do not own or have permission to edit, the template will be removed.

Adding input slots to Template:Free-use-restrict is simple. When you enter the template as {{Free-use-restrict}}, you can add |restrict = whatever and it will show up on the final product. Place it inside the template.

This is what the template looks like without any input slots filled:

Template added by the page creator.

This is what the template looks like with the input slot filled with the word restrict:

FreeUseAlternate77
You can use this in your creations without the creator's permission, but restrict
Template added by the page creator.

Template:Help

Template:Help is a template with no input slots. You simply can stick it at the top of the page you are asking people to help you with. Template:Help is used for pages that you need other users' help on. Template:Help will not prevent your page from being marked as a stub, and the page still needs to be of decent quality. Template:Help is not a way to have other users make the page for you but will allow them to edit your page.

This is what the template looks like:

Help
This page needs help! Ask about it in the comments on on the creator's message wall.
Template added by the page creator.

Template:Help Wanted

Template:Help Wanted is a template with one input slot slots. When adding it to a page, you must include a {{{user}}}. Template:Help Wanted is used for pages that you are looking for others to join your cause for. Template:Help Wanted is particularly useful for games or other larger projects, as they can make it known to viewers that there is an open invitation for them to join and help out. If you use Template:Help Wanted on a page you do not own or have permission to edit, the template will be removed.

Template:Hiatus is a template with two input slots. When adding it to a page, you must include a {{{reason}}} and a {{{time}}}. Template:Hiatus is used for pages that you are taking a break from. Template:Hiatus will not protect your page from being marked a stub. Template:Hiatus is useful if you are having difficulties coming up with ideas for something and want to pause. If you use Template:Hiatus on a page you do not own or have permission to edit, the template will be removed.

Adding input slots to Template:Hiatus is simple. When you enter the template as {{Hiatus}}, you can add |reason = whatever|time = whenever and it will show up on the final product. Place it inside the template.
