Nenuflare is the sixth plant obtained in Murky Lake of Plants vs. Zombies: Battle of Both Sides, unlocked upon completing 4-13: Dolphin Bay. She is also one of the several plants confirmed to appear in both Plants vs. Zombies: Into The Zombiverse and Plants vs. Zombies: Voyage, where she is confirmed to be unlocked upon 3-5: The Fire and the Flood, and 5-5: Sinking Ship, respectively.
When Nenuflare is planted on the lawn, she'll wait for 10 seconds prior to firing her first round of flares, which deal per shot 500DMG. Afterwards, she'll enter a 25 second cooldown before she can fire another round of shots. Being shot in a lobbed position, her shots can ignore most shields, such as that of Screen Door Zombie or Lazy River Zombie.
Due to the fact that she is a fire plant, she can be boosted via a Lavander, which'll boost her attack power to 800DMG
Origins[]
Nenuflare is based on the Indian lotus (Nelumbo nucifera), also known as the lotus flower, a flower widespread in Asia and seen as a symbol of longevity in China.
Nenuflare's name is a combination of nenufar, a Spanish term for a female waterlily, and flare, a type of pyrotechnic that produces a bright light or intense heat without an explosion.
Almanac Entry[]
"A fiery flower with a fiery spirit, Nenuflare came to have the time of her life on the battlefield and had managed to attain her goal even after her first few minutes! While she started off rather reckless and headstrong, which ended up giving her the nickname "Xiao Long," she eventually toned down overtime, and is now carrying her strategies and her supposed "wisdom" to her younger half-sister."
Upgrades[]
Plant Food effect[]
When fed Plant Food, Nenuflare will automatically recharge her shots prior to releasing them all in one go, and reloading once more afterwards.
Pepper-mint Effect (Exclusive to games that use Power-mints)[]
Nenuflare's damage output will be increased to around 1000 (1800 if there was initially a Lavander on the lawn at the time), and her reload time will be reduced to 15 seconds.

Strategies[]
Nenuflare is somewhat powerful and is normally a go-to in terms of water worlds. Being the first ever water-based attacker aside from Tangle Kelp itself, since while Tangle Kelp is a single-use plant intended for taking out zombies early game, Nenuflare is the primary attacker for the mid-to-late game, with Sea-Shroom also serving the early-game attacker spot, due to her large suncost.
If she is boosted with a Lavander, she can become very powerful. However, beware regardless of the Dragon Imps, due to them being immune to her burning effects regardless. Explorer Zombie and his reskins, alongside the Dynamite Barrel Zombie are also other zombies to watch out for, since their fiery portions will be relit by her. Another threat regardless of being powered by Lavander or not is the Battering Ram Zombie which 'll block her shots off with the ram. Despite this, Parasol Zombies will inadvertently be exposed to her attacks. Overall, Nenuflare, if combined with both Cofee Bean and Lavander, can turn out VERY powerful, as her attack power is boosted to 2000, and had a Pepper-mint also have been planted on the lawn, she would practically become a killing machine.

Trivia[]
- Her nickname in her almanac entry, "Xiao Long," is a reference to Yang Xiao Long, one of the main characters of the web-series RWBY. This might also reference Yang's fiery temper, which is also present in Nenuflare herself.
- Her half-sister might possibly be a reference to Ruby Rose, whose the younger half-sister of Yang in said series.
- Daylily, another plant by Deviant was going to be her younger half-sister. However, this was scrapped.
- Had he went with this though, it would be an ironic reversal, as Nenuflare herself is associated with red while Yang is associated with yellow, and Daylily is associated with yellow, yet Ruby is associated with red.
- In Chinese, "Xiao Long" means "Little Dragon".
- Nenuflare is by far, the third longest-lasting member of the fan-made plants in the One Last War roster, after Conifire and Creep-Shroom, and before Rapsberry-pult, Serenitree, Gient, Winter Rose, Hemlock, and Darkmatter Dahlia.
