Milkcaps are sun-producing mushrooms that make more sun when zombies are on the terrain it places down.
Overview[]
A Milkcap usually produces 50 sun at the rate of a Sunflower.
When the player plants a Milkcap, it will summon mushroom colonies around it. These colonies go for 5 tiles ahead of the Milkcap, 1 tile behind it, and 1 tile above and below it. If there are zombies on these tiles, Milkcap will produce more sun. For instance:
- 1 zombie = 75 sun
- 4 zombies = 100 sun
- 8 zombies = 125 sun
- 15 zombies = 150 sun
If there is a Gargantuar on its colonies, then it will produce sun faster.
If Milkcap is in daylight, it requires 1 more zombie for each increment of sun.
Plants can be planted on its colonies, but the player will need 10 extra sun to plant a mushroom on the colonies.
Milkcap is based off of the Lactarius indigo, otherwise known as the indigo milk cap.
Plant Food Ability[]
Using Plant Food on a Milkcap will make it so that the colonies slightly slow down zombies. This also negates the extra sun needed to plant mushrooms on the colonies.
