Home - Plants - Zombies - Achievements - Version history
Plants are living organisms that belong to the Plantae kingdom. They obtain most of their energy from sunlight in a process called photosynthesis. However, not all plants absorb energy via photosynthesis. They are the protagonists of Plants vs. Zombies: Gone Rogue and the player's main defense against the undead assailants.
The game contains 79 plants, with 58 returning plants (from PvZ 1 and 2) and 21 new ones. Most plants are obtained after clearing a level in a way similar to Endless Zones in Plants vs. Zombies 2, where you can only pick one from a selection. 38 of these plants need to be unlocked through various achievements in order to be in the selection.
For more details on how returning plants differ from their appearances in PvZ 1 and 2, click here.
