Plants vs. Zombies: The Turf Takeover (abbreviated as Plants vs. Zombies: TTT or PvZ: TTT) is a sequel to Plants vs. Zombies: Heroes and other games of the Plants vs. Zombies franchise. In this game, the player must defeat the zombies who have taken over Merrymint Island playing as different plants.
The artstyle of most plants is from it's prequel, however zombies take their appearance from tower defense games.
History[]
The game was soft released in England, Wales, and in the US as a paid sneak peak on 7 February 2021 before releasing in a worldwide, free beta on 20 February 2021.
On 10 March 2021, the game's servers were shut down. Thus, this content is archived.

Hello Gardeners! Today we have released a brainz-tastic new patch! Dandelion hits the spotlight on the recently added Event mode! In the next few days we'll release a completely new mechanic to the game, so stay tuned! We're sorry, but you can't play Event mode just yet. Our servers have been overwhelmed by your response, so we'll need to oil them before Event mode goes live!

Plot[]
After his hiding during the events of Galactic Gardens, Dr. Zomboss launches a sneak attack on Merrymint Island, the home of the Power Mints.
Unadapted to the zombies, they were easily defeated. It's too late to save those Power Mints, but you must do something before it's too late! Create your squad of plants and save Merrymint Island.
Gameplay[]
The game is a form of turn-based RPG, where you can build a squad of up to 4 plants that can be mixed and matched. Each has it's own ability that can affect itself and the other squad members. Most plants are unlocked by beating levels and freeing them. For example, here are Peashooter's (the starting plant) stats:

You can level up plants with Sun, which acts as coins in this game. Each level up increases Attack Points and Defense Points by 50% minus 2.5% for each upgrade done. All plants can be levelled up to Level 20, but this may change. Level 2 Upgrades cost 1000 Sun. This doubles for each upgrade. Upgrading takes a small amount of time, with 5 seconds to upgrade to Level 2, increasing by 10 seconds for each upgrade.
Many plants or zombies have an Active Skill, which is an alternate attack that is charged by attacking. You must attack 3 times to charge the Active Skill, and then you can choose to attack normally or use the Active Skill.
Some plants have Passive Skills. These skills activate under some conditions such as "when this attacks" or "when this is hurt". Most of them are not at strong as Active Skills, however, there are some exceptions.
As a turn-based game, there are turns in which you can attack the enemy. Plants start, then zombies attack. This repeats until one team is eliminated, then the game determines the winner.
In game logic, health and attack point level-up results are rounded up.

Introduced in update 0.3, Events are playlists of battles with special rules, such as "only 1 plant can be picked" or "Plants always have Toxin" etc. By completing all of these, the player can earn exclusive plants. These plants cannot be upgraded only with Suns, they also need their assigned Segments 
, which can be earned by playing normal Stages when the respective event is on. Every 12 hours, your Segment-O-Meter is filled. It has 3 charges that get depleted when you win a Stage, and giving you a single Segment for the current event plant. The Segment-O-Meter can be hurried by 3 hours for 10 Gems. To upgrade said Event plant to Level 2, you need just 2 Segments. This number doubles for each time you upgrade eg. you need 8 Segments for Level 4 etc.
The Sun cost of upgrades triples instead of doubles, and Event plants can only be upgraded to Level 10.
Dandelion's event has been canceled and Event mode is currently unavailable.

The Shop is a store run by Charlie, a Banana Split who retired from the Plant Army. Unlocking the Shop requires you to beat Bubbly Beach. This page showcases all items available in the Shop. More will be added in the future.
