Venus Trap is a Plant of the Seas of Bronze World at Pvz 2: Unknown Eras DLC.

Origin

Venus Trap is based on a Venus Flytrap (Dionaea muscipula), a type of carnivorous plant. The the hair and the female look were inspired by Botticelli' s Venus, a representation of the Roman goddess of love.

Effect

The Venus Trap will only be triggered when a zombie steps on a tile in front of it. When triggered, it will pick the zombie and hold it motionless for 45 seconds. During this time, it will act as a defensive plant. It will put the zombie in the next tile (from right to left).

Machines, such as Robot Cone, and animals, like the Zombie Bull, will be eaten, disabling the plant for 45 seconds (still making it act defensively). The zombies riding the machines or the animals will be forced to get out of them and walk by itself.

Plant Food Effect

When powered by the Plant Food, the Venus Trap will burry its giant mouth under the ground, eat 5 random zombies riding animals or machines and create an armor, raising its defensive stats.

Strategy

This plant can be very useful at the Far Future, being able to turn almost every machine into a Common Zombie or Imp.

The Venus Trap can also pair very well with the Magnet-shroom, being capable of removing almost any protection (except Cones). A good strategy is combining this plant with the Spring Bean or the Chard Guard, keeping the zombies trapped.

It is specially made to counter the Alexander Imp, eating the horse that it mounts and making the Imp act normally.
