The Doubled Mint is an attacking plant in Plants vs. Zombies: The Final Showdown based on the Doubled Mint from Plants vs. Zombies Heroes.
It attacks slowly, but with every shot that hits the same target, it will double its damage, allowing it to take down strong zombies like Gargantuars very quickly, but since its damage resets when attacking a new zombie, it struggles against even small groups.
It is unlocked after beating Day 9 of Doom Dungeon.

Origin[]
He is based on the peppermint, a hybrid mint which is a cross between watermint and spearmint.
Appearance[]
Basically the Doubled Mint from PvZ Heroes in a PvZ1 style. As its damage builds up, it gains extra leaves.
Almanac Entry[]
Doubled Mint
As it consecutively hits the same zombie, its damage doubles with each hit
Damage: very light, doubles with each shot
Range: long
Firing speed: slow
Weakness: damage resets when attacking a new zombie
Plant Food effect: for the next seven seconds, builds up attack speed
Doubled Mint once reached the moon by folding paper. Or so he claims.
Cost: 250
Recharge: very fast
Plant Food[]
For the next seven seconds, its attack speed doubles every second. The attack speed will reset when the effect ends. During this effect, it will fire approximately 63 shots, basically mowing down a row.
Strategies[]
Doubled Mint is extremely powerful if you have crowd-control to weed out the weaker zombies that could mess with its attacks. It can take down a Gargantuar in 9 shots, or 18 seconds, but if something else gets in the way before the eighth shot, it won't have even dealt enough damage to make the Gargantuar throw its Imp. If used wisely, it is amazingly cost-efficient, however ensuring that no unwanted zombies get in the way is really the biggest hurdle. It's also worth noting that adding additional Doubled Mints won't improve the firepower very much. Since the damage is determined by each individual Doubled Mint and won't build up faster with multiple (each one would deal 10DPS, then 20, then 40, instead of the damage doubling twice as fast), extra Doubled Mints don't contribute nearly as much as the first one. It is always best to support it with AoE attackers to weed out weak zombies.
