Cropedo is a premium plant in Plants vs. Zombies 2. It was released alongside the Underwater City Part 2 teaser in Piñata Parties and is available for purchase for 100 gems.
Cropedo shoots a torpedo that deals massive damage to zombies, however it only has a limited amount of torpedoes. Once all the torpedoes run out, Cropedo will do nothing.
It's amount can increase by 1 when an aquatic plant is planted in a 3x3 area around it, however, if you remove it, then it decreases by 1.
Origins[]
Cropedo is based off certain crops, like Pumpkins, which is the base of Cropedo.
It's name is a portmanteau of "Crop", referring the plant that it's based on, and "Torpedo", referring to the attack it does, as it uses torpedoes.
Upgrades[]
Plant Food Effect[]
When boosted with Plant Food, Cropedo will regain the amount of torpedoes it originally did, and then it will fire all of them at once. Plant Fooded torpedoes deal more damage than regular ones.
Bombard-mint Effect[]
When boosted with Bombard-mint, Cropedo has infinite torpedoes until Bombard-mint disappears.
Strategies[]
Use Cropedo wisely, as he only has a limited amount of torpedoes to use. He works best in Underwater City, as he will can more torpedoes from Oxygen Algaes and Sea Pickles. However, he still has enough torpedoes to sustain himself if you don't have any aquatic plants with him.
