Revision as of 10:03, 15 June 2021
This creation is currently still under construction and as such has not yet been finalized! |
Canada is the the second Adventure Mode area available to players in Plants vs. Zombies: World Tour, and the third world overall. Canada takes place in Whistler Blackcomb, and the setting is sunny. There are 15 main levels (10 only accessible after beating South Africa), and 8 side levels adding to a total of 23 levels.
The gimmick of this world is piles of snow. These environmental modifiers aren't really tough, having about 20 health, but can still block your straight-shot projectiles. When they're destroyed, a Parka Imp will jump out from the snow and will head towards your plants. Because they're composed of snow, they won't take as much damage from electric, ice or poison attacks but will take twice as much damage from fire, melee, and magic attacks. They first appear on Day 1.
Tied in with the snow piles, the second gimmick of Canada is the surprise attack "Snowball Fight!" in which three to five snow piles will drop down from the sky and land in unoccupied tiles. Each one contains a Parka Imp inside. They first appear on Day 2.
There are 9 new plants that can be obtained here (6 through playing the main levels, 3 through the side levels), and there are 14 new zombies that can be encountered here (12 encountered through the main levels, and 2 more through the side levels).
Order of Events
At the start of Day 1, Penny welcomes the player to Whistler Blackcomb of Canada, and Crazy Dave wants to find a place where they sell taco pancakes. Penny tries to warn him about the snow piles but Dave is off.
At the start of Day 2, Dave is rather cold, and suggests that using Hot Potato is a good idea since it can thaw out plants and snow piles
At the end of Day 2, Crazy Dave is excited that they got a map, and Penny explains that they can return to the player's home town at any time
At the start of Day 5, Penny explains how the Ice Rink level works
At the end of Day 6, Penny announces that the Zen Garden is now reopened and gives the player a tutorial
At the start of Day 9, Crazy Dave is annoyed that he has a cold, and wonders how he got it but Penny believes it's because of the incoming Gargantuars
At the start of Day 15, Dr. Zomboss appears to warn the player, Dave and Penny about how they will be buried six feet in snow if they do not stop their meddlesome actions
At the end of Day 15, Crazy Dave celebrates their victory and believes this calls for some waffles, but Penny believes they should head to the next area before it's too late
At the start of Side Path-B, Penny explains how the Zombotany levels work

Challenge Levels
Flower Crossing is the first Brain Buster of Canada and first challenge level of Canada played on Day 3 and 10. A line of pink little flowers are present on the lawn on a fixed lane, and players must protect them from zombies, as they will wilter and cause players to lose the level if stepped at. The objective reads "Don't Let the Zombies Trample the Flowers".
Ice Rink is the third overall mini-game introduced in World Tour, and the first mini-game of Canada played on Days 5 and 13. All five lanes have ice trails that stretch to the seventh column (day 5) and fifth column (day 13), which acts similarly to Zomboni's ice trails, prohibiting most plants to be planted on it. However, they also make zombies slide down the trail, being quicker that usual, and flicking away any plant (if there is any) that is on its way. After that, they proceed as normal. These ice trails, like Zomboni's ice trails, can only be melted by Jalapeño. The objective reads "Survive With Slippery Ice Trails", and players get plants already selected by Penny.
