Braincracker was a zombie being encountered in Penny's Pursuit in Plants vs. Zombies 2, but sometimes somewhere during Feastivus Pinata Parties or Arena. He was first introduced along with Boingsetta.

Braincracker will chomp down plants in a normal way, but when he encounter nut plants, he will chomp them down in one shot. But purposely he must chomp down every single nut plants three times in a row. If he was finished chomping one nut plant, he will chomp another nut plant, until he bite the third nut plant and he will deactivate himself permanently, remain him as an obstacle.

When he was deactivated, the player got some time to defeat him and get more defenses. Until a plot twist revealed, some zombies must wind his wind-key on his back, specifically Mechanic Imp. Mechanic Imp will wind his wind-key to reactive him.

Origins[]

His appearance and ability was based off a common nutcracker.

His name was a pun of "brain", referring to the fact that he is a zombie, and a "nutcracker", based off his design.

Overview[]

Braincracker consists 1600 damage per shot until his appearance changes after absorbing 800DPS until dies and destroyed after 1600DPS. Braincracker will chomp down nut plants in 4000DPS and 20DPS against other plants.

Encounters[]

  • Player's House: Pinata Party only (during Feastivus).
  • Penny's Pursuit
  • Arena: Boingsetta's Bouncy Festival.

Strategies[]

Braincracker was super hard to defeat, in the same way as the Buckethead Zombie, since he has more health than Buckethead Zombie, but somewhat easy to defeat, because we need to worry about our nut plants. Using Shrinking Violet or Enforce-mint can shrink down him, along with weakening his damage to nut plants, tough. Primal Wall-nut were no longer useful against this zombie this time, since he can still being chomped down by the Braincracker, despite he can survive Gargantuar's smashes in three shots.
