Abominapples are ice plants that freeze zombies in a large radius, but then have to go through a cool-down.
Overview[]
Abominapple, when first planted, freezes zombies in place in a 5x5 area. This also deals 0.5 damage points to those zombies. The zombies stay frozen for the same amount of time as if they were an Iceberg Lettuce. After doing so, Abominapple will have to wait 9 seconds before attacking again.
Abominapple will only attack once a zombie enters its radius. It will not go off, however, if the only zombies in its radius are zombies immune to freezing.
It cannot be frozen by chilling winds or by any other means.
Abominapple is based off of the apple fruit. Its name is a portmanteau of "abominable," as in the Abominable Snowman, and "apple."
Plant Food Ability[]
Abominapple waits for three seconds, and then freezes every zombie on board. Once those zombies have thawed out, Abominapple freezes every zombie again.
Strategies[]
Abominapple's freezing range is utilized best when it is planted in the middle row.
Abominapple is not a replacement for Iceberg Lettuce, as they both hold different niches. Iceberg Lettuce is cheap and can be planted faster, while Abominapple is built for the long term.
